I am an award winning Longarm Quilter living in the Scottish Borders, I offer longarm machine quilting services to help you finish those quilt tops and UFO’s. I have always loved the hum of a sewing machine and can remember my Grandad servicing the old treadle which lived in my bedroom as a child. I made my first quilt around twenty years ago as a playmat for my Grandson, I started to hand quilt it but was impatient and finished quilting it on my domestic sewing machine, I didn’t even know what a walking foot was back then.

In 2010 I invested in an APQS (American Professional Quilting Systems) longarm quilting machine. I offer custom quilting with my own designs or edge to edge longarm quilting which may be executed using a computerised system. You are welcome to visit me at my home studio where we can discuss designs suitable for your projects.

I’m also available to discuss your quilting requirements at The Wonky Giraffe, Kelso, on the first Friday of every month between 1-4pm where I can do pick ups and drop offs. Louise has a lovely selection of quilting fabrics and wools.

So if you have quilt tops waiting to be quilted, if you find quilts too heavy to manage on your domestic machine, if you like to piece quilt tops but don’t like to quilt them or if you like to hand quilt but don’t have the space to pin or baste then I may be able to help you.

If you allow me to quilt for you I will treat your quilt tops as if they were my own.
